Bucket List

by

After the trip to Japan and China this summer, my passport is getting to the point where I need to get pages added to it. I've considered filing a passport a big bucket list item, but it made me realize I don't really have a list written down. I read a great article today that prompted this post. Its time to start a realistic list to keep life interesting.

Bucket List 1.0
1. Bike tour the West Coast from Seattle to San Diego.
2. Photograph the landscapes of Iceland.
3.  Hike to Trolltunga in the Fjords of Norway.
to be continued...

I've been digging through my pictures from my travels during my time abroad. After returning home I got too lazy to actually go through and create a compelling photo album and just picked out highlights. Here's my attempt to remedy my laziness in the past.

We had just gotten to Phnom Penh via Saigon using a questionable bus company. Cambodia issues visa at the border and when the bus driver came around and asked for money and our passports, my heart sank a little. I ran through scenarios of the outcome in my head and they all ended up with me stuck at the Vietnam/Cambodia border with my passport stolen. We were herded off the bus into immigration and surely enough one by one our names were called and we got our passports back with a fresh Cambodian visa. The bus dropped us off at the Central Market in Phnom Penh and we called a tuk-tuk to the hostel we booked. These are the faces of relief.
