Finally made the move to Oakland last weekend and spent the last week unpacking and settling in. I'm committing to the one less car philosophy. Everything I need is within walking and cycling distance now. The 15 minute commute to work and having some of the best cycling roads in the East Bay practically in the backyard is a big plus. Living across the street from Lake Merritt has got its perks.
