Food for thought

Two articles showed up on my news feeds that had the same very similar titles. They were resignation letters made public by influential people at their respective companies. What struck me is that during this economy, who in their right minds would leave jobs at Goldman Sachs and Google? The reasons for resignation in both articles are the same. The companies are no longer concerned with what made the company great in the first place. They are doing morally questionable things to maximize the bottom line. I won't go into details here because the articles speak for themselves. It troubles me that I'm going to enter the workforce during a time when companies are losing view of their missions. This isn't coincidence and I'm not the only one to notice.
